The Department of Journalism and Media Communication (JMC), Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) successfully completed an SDG-aligned photowalk under JMC 0321-213: Photojournalism on 8 December 2025 (Monday) at the Dhaka University area.
Organized as part of the approved course curriculum, the activity provided students with hands-on exposure to real-world photojournalism practices. During the photowalk, students captured images across diverse environments and lighting conditions, including street life, architecture, public spaces, and cultural landmarks. The exercise enabled students to apply key concepts such as exposure control, composition, visual storytelling, and ethical field practices in an authentic setting.
A total of 15 students participated in the activity under the direct supervision of Monjur Kibriya Bhuiyan (Course Instructor & Lecturer, JMC). The photowalk successfully met its academic objectives, supported the Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), and aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) through experiential learning and responsible visual documentation.
