JMC Hosts Session on Building Academic Partnerships with Istanbul Gelişim University

The Department of Journalism and Media Communication (JMC) at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) successfully organized an insightful session titled “Building Academic Partnerships with Istanbul Gelişim University” on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the JMC Media Lab (L-111).

The session focused on exploring opportunities for international academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, student and faculty engagement, and future institutional partnerships between Green University of Bangladesh and Istanbul Gelişim University.

The event featured a distinguished panel of academicians and professionals who shared valuable insights on strengthening global academic connections and creating new avenues for collaboration in journalism, media, and higher education.

Dr. Rahmat Ullah, Assistant Professor at Istanbul Gelişim University and President of CenRaps, delivered the keynote address. He discussed potential areas of academic cooperation and emphasized the importance of international partnerships in expanding educational and professional opportunities for students and faculty.

The session was chaired by Dr. Habib Mohammad Ali, Chairperson and Associate Professor of the Department of Journalism and Media Communication, GUB. Dr. Elham Hossain, Associate Professor of the Department of English, GUB and Director of GCiA, attended the session as the Special Guest. Dr. Md. Aliur Rahman, Associate Professor of JMC, served as the Facilitator.

Through engaging discussions and knowledge-sharing, the session highlighted the growing importance of international academic partnerships in advancing journalism and media education. The speakers also explored possibilities for future collaboration in areas such as academic exchange, joint initiatives, research, training, and professional development.
