JMC Department of GUB Conducts Academic Trip to Daffodil International University

The Department of Journalism and Media Communication (JMC) at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) successfully completed an academic trip to Daffodil International University (DIU) on October 19, 2025.

The primary objective of the visit was to explore DIU’s advanced media laboratories and gain insights into their campus media operations and facilities.

The visiting delegation from GUB included Dr. Habib Mohammad Ali, Chairperson, Department of JMC; Dr. Md. Aliur Rahman, Associate Professor; Mr. Monjur Kibriya Bhuiyan, Lecturer; Mr. Mohammad Biyazid Khan, Lecturer; and Mr. Kazi Mahadi Muntasir, Coordinator and Editor of the JMC Media Lab.

Upon arrival, the GUB team was warmly received by Dr. Aftab Hossain, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of JMC, DIU, and Dr. Md. Abdul Kabil Khan, Associate Professor, Department of JMC, DIU. The DIU team graciously guided the guests through their state-of-the-art media labs, showcasing facilities such as campus radio and television studios, as well as other multimedia production setups.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity for academic exchange, mutual learning, and potential collaboration between the two universities. Participants described the experience as both insightful and inspiring, highlighting the importance of inter-university cooperation in advancing media education and practice in Bangladesh.
