JMC Department Hosts Successful Workshop on Campus Journalism and News Studio Operation

The Department of Journalism and Media Communication (JMC) at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) successfully organized a hands-on workshop titled “Campus Journalism and News Studio Operation” on October 11, 2025 (Saturday), at the JMC Media Lab (L-111).

The event was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor of GUB, who attended as the Chief Guest. Mr. Mohammad Awlad Hossain Khan, Station Manager of Radio Bikrampur FM 99.2, served as the Workshop Facilitator, while Dr. Habib Mohammad Ali, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of JMC, chaired the session.

The workshop offered participants practical training on campus media management, radio production, and news studio operation, aiming to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world media practice. Students gained valuable exposure to multimedia journalism techniques, including content creation, voice presentation, and technical studio operation.

JMC students, faculty members, and media professionals took part enthusiastically, turning the session into an interactive and insightful learning experience. The initiative reflected the department’s ongoing commitment to fostering industry-oriented journalism education and nurturing the next generation of skilled media professionals.
